Buying a Used Boat? Don't Skip the Marine Survey

If you’re in the process of trying to find your dream boat through a private seller, and you don’t already have a marine surveyor, you really need to get one right away! Whether you’ve had the chance to inspect the boat yourself, or you’re buying from a distance, having a skilled marine surveyor on your side who knows exactly what signs of damage to look for in all different types of used vessels and older model ships is the only way to truly protect yourself.

Condition and Valuation SurveyCondition & Valuation Surveys

Condition and Valuation Surveys are so important because even if you think a boat appears to be in fantastic shape after a thorough personal inspection, a marine surveyor, like me, will be able to tell right away through this comprehensive survey precisely what kinds of secrets are hiding under the hull. From concealed water damage, to irreparable structural damage, one of my Condition and Valuation Surveys will easily catch it all and give you the full run down so you can decide right then and there how you would like to proceed forward, preventing you from wasting any time or energy on boats that aren’t worth your time.

Verification of Stated ConditionVerification of Stated Condition Surveys

If you have not personally inspected the used vessel you’re interested in for whatever reason, you definitely need a Verification of Stated Condition Survey as soon as possible. Without one, you’re forced to take the word of someone you likely don’t even know, about a ship you’ve never even seen, that for all you know could just be a scam to make some easy cash. Call me, however, and I’ll make my way over to see the seller in person, see the ship you’re interested in, give it a thorough once-over, and report back to you on whether it was, in fact, in the condition you were told it was. That way there’s no confusion about what you should do next!

Choose CAS Marine Surveyor!

Above all else, you can always count on my loyalty. No matter what the circumstances are, or how disappointing the news may be, I will never be afraid to tell you the truth about what is and isn’t wrong with any ship you love. My job is only to guarantee you have all the information you need to make the right investments, and I will follow through. Besides, as a passionate lifelong boater myself, helping others do what I love so much professionally is as good as it gets! To schedule a survey for your own vessel, or one you’re going to purchase, reach out to Christian A. Syoen of CAS Marine Surveyor today by calling 1.810.531.0992 or fill out the form in the sidebar to schedule your free consultation.
